About the Method Developer

 Martinas Driukas

Developer of the Deep Circular Breathing (DCB) and Somatic Polarity Method

Martin Driuk is the developer of Deep Circular Breathing (DCB) and the Somatic Polarity Method, a structured protocol designed to support the preparation, navigation, and integration of Deep Circular Breathing sessions.

Over the past fourteen years, he has facilitated more than 4,000 Deep Circular Breathing sessions and trained over 200 DCB instructors.

For more than ten years, his professional work has also included coaching, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and hypnotherapy, supported by training and professional qualifications within the International Coach and Trainer Association (ICTA) framework.

His background also includes professional training in paramedicine and emergency medical care, which has contributed to his long-standing emphasis on safety, responsible practice, and clearly defined professional boundaries in intensive breathwork.

His work focuses on integrating extensive breathwork experience with somatic awareness, nervous system regulation, and practical psychological models to improve safety, clarity, and direction during the breathing process.

The DCB and Somatic Polarity Method is presented as an open practical model intended for professional discussion, critical evaluation, further development, and future research.

About the Method Clinical Advisor & Reviewer

Audrius Mozūraitis, MD

Audrius Mozūraitis is a licensed psychiatrist with more than 20 years of clinical experience in psychiatry. He currently practices at the Mental Health Department of Vilkaviškis Primary Health Care Centre and at the Beržynas Health Care Unit.

As Clinical Advisor and Reviewer of the DCB Somatic Polarity Method, he contributes a medical and psychiatric perspective to the evaluation of the protocol, with particular attention to safety, professional boundaries, contraindications, and the distinction between breathwork practice and clinical mental health treatment.

Having reviewed the methodology and being personally familiar with circular breathwork practices, he supports the continued professional evaluation and responsible development of the DCB Somatic Polarity Method.

Development of the Method

The DCB Somatic Polarity Method emerged from fourteen years of practical work with Deep Circular Breathing.

Throughout more than 4,000 DCB sessions and the training of over 200 instructors, a recurring objective was to improve the precision and effectiveness of breathing sessions when working with trauma, addictions, recurring relationship patterns, self-worth, shame, and other persistent life challenges.

The first formal training in the DCB Somatic Polarity Protocol was delivered to a group of twelve experienced DCB instructors, including psychologists and professionals working in emotional and mental health support.

An Open Framework

This document is not intended to be the final description of the protocol. Rather, it represents the beginning of an ongoing process of professional exploration, evaluation, and refinement.

The hope is that the protocol will evolve not as a closed methodology, but as an open framework that benefits from professional dialogue, critical evaluation, and practical experience.

Can a more precise understanding of a participant's Subjective Experience and Somatic Organization before breathing enhance the safety, precision, and effectiveness of Deep Circular Breathing (DCB)?

Only continued practice, critical evaluation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and scientific research will provide a reliable answer to this question.
